The Gargantua in Interloper should be a boss battle or a sub-boss battle.
I can’t tell whether this is Half Life Source’s Gargantua in Interloper feeling squishy, but I think like the Gonarch, the Gargantua or Gargantuas should be boss battles. According to the Half Life wiki, the Gargantua has less health then a Gonarch, but it still takes a ton of damage. If the Gonarch is a boss battle, so should the Gargantua. The environment should be able to damage him. Or why not include a special breed of Gargantua. I just want to know if the Gargantua in Interloper is going to be the boss of Interloper? He should because we can see Gordon battle a boss with the environment to use (the jet was the HECU’s, not Black Mesa’s)

the leaks have it that you will be running away from gargantuas. just like we did from the gonarch xD

That one makes a lot more sense though, since gargantua since Power Up were always designed to have the player run the living ♥♥♥♥ way from it. They'd have to increase its health and make it killable though, there are no electrical charges or tactical air strike map in Interloper.
You also encounter a Gargantua in Nihilanth i believe, occasionally spawning in a room with a garg in. Also I hope Xentacles are just killable tentacles, like seen here: https://youtu.be/wtIp8jOo8_o?t=199
I have a feeling that there might be optional ways of approaching Garg in Interloper
a. head on - running and killing it
b. stealth way - completely avoid Garg (like it was possible in HL)

This is just a speculation
The Garg's code can be modified to take damage from only the Tau Cannon and Gluon gun. Just like Striders in HL2 will can only be harmed by explosives and the Dark Energy balls in the Citadel.
The Gargantua on Interloper is going to be a chase section. A music file called xen-gargathon.wav (which is Shadows of Death on Black Mesa's OST) indicates that it's really a Gargantua chase, a more intense chase... and yes, YOU WON'T BE CHASED BY A JUST A SINGLE GARGANTUA! You'll be chased by more than 1... I'd say 4 to 7 Gargantuas. I might also guess that you'll also bypass some Tentacles along the way too.

I could beat that in Half Life Source because the enemies are squishier, but if the Gonarch is much harder in this version, how would I beat that many gargantuas? Will I use the environment?

You're not going to kill it. You will run away from not just 1, but a lot of Gargantuas.

Then what’s the point of it anyway? Is it like Gonarch split into multiples? The game is boring if it is just a cat and mouse chase, and Crowbar Collective said they would fix problems many people had with the original Xen. Gonarch’s Lair in Half Life was a cat and mouse chase, why would they bring it back? I know we may find out, but I hope it is not a cat and mouse chase until the next map is found, I hope the environment is used against the Gargantuas similar to Gonarch’s Lair.

I'll give you one hint...

The chase ends upon you reaching a bridge. You will make use of the long jump to reach the other side. Once there, the chase ends, and multiple Gargantuas are just roaring at you.

Thats stupid. Hope its not true.

Sounds like Usermap-level bad. Svencoop usermap level...

Yeah... I think the devs should just make the Gargantuas on Xen killable with explosive and experimental weaponry like in the original HL.

Players would then have the option to fight a Garg if they have the ammo to do so or run away from it. I don't like how the Gargs in BM can't be damaged by any weapons.

Someone who agrees. I think the Gargantuas should be the Gonarch split up (very bullet spongy, but still killable with enough ammunition). What do you think of that?
They won't do your suggestions. It will be a long chase... you being chased by a lot of Gargantuas. Ever why it's called a Gargathon? Think of the Antlion Guardian chase, but more intense. Probably way more intense than the Gonarch chase too.

The chase takes place on some valley after the Vortigaunt Village after a "Cone" Puzzle. It will probably start with 1 Gargantua, then more Gargantuas start busting through to kill you while you're running away. I can sense you will bypass some Tentacles along the way. Note that the music file is called: xen-gargathon.wav, or Shadows of Death on the Xen Soundtrack. It's way more intense than Surface Tension 3.

From the soundscapes file... the chase will end on this note: "In preparation for the jump, we start using the last waterfall utility here."

This indicates that there's some bridge from what I've said. You will make use of the long jump to pass through. Also, YOU CANNOT KILL THIS SO MANY GARGANTUAS! You cannot kill them all with all your rockets, grenades, satchels, uranium. Even if they're killable, I am pretty sure you have no ammo left. After this bridge, the Gargantuas will stop chasing you as they cannot jump nor reach, so they'll just roar in anger for not killing you. Regardless, you are now within the tower. Entering it via a "blowhole".

I can see them improving and tweaking this sequence, but don't expect that you will kill them via something especially with so many chasing you.
