Residue Processing: Conveyor belts going the wrong way ... I'm Stuck

Hello Black Mesa fans. I am stuck.

I have made it through the Residue Processor beyond the pistons and the jet flames. I am now in a large room with a lot of belts moving left and right, back and forth on different levels. There's a platform with a box of .357 magnum cartridges hanging off the top of the ceiling too (which I have collected)

There is a conveyor belt located near the bottom of the room that should be going INTO the wall where a mine is SUPPOSED to be. This is the exit according to some walk-through guides.

Unfortunately, the belt door is not open and it is going the wrong way. The belt is feeding out of gap that is only a few inches long and is moving into the room and not out. Every guide I see has the belt pristine clean moving into the wall with a blue-laser wall mine visible. In my game, the belt is trashy and moving out.

WHAT AM I MISSING? HOW DO I REVERSE THE DIRECTION OF THAT CONVEYOR BELT SO I CAN GET OUT?

Your "guide" is outdated. Go on the belt that has an open door and is moving in the correct direction.

There is water on the floor to protect you if you fall, but you aren't supposed to fall.

It took me forever to figure this out. Seemingly, many of the videos posted are old level designs. Follow the conveyors in the only order you can. When you reach the solid waste entry, you'll have to Donkey Kong jump left to bypass the first shredder. Jump right and left to avoid the next shredders. This is how to get past that area.
If you miss any of the jumps, you fall in the water below, and you'll have to do everything again.
