manually install directx
hi folks,

Currently I'm having issue's with directx. I'm runnning Windows 10 and have Directx. I downloaded directx june2010 and tried to install without succes. So, When I try to run any game that requires DirectX on Steam, it goes throught the first time setup up, finishes it (too quickly) and everything stops. I've done some digging and read on some forum's about other people with similar problems.

Now, I've also heard of people manually placing directx files in the game's dir. I'm not sure if it will work but I would love to at least give it a shot. So if anybody has some advice where to put what. I'd be very happy.

As mentioned in my post, this doesnt work. it ends up giving me "an internal system error". I have tried all the possible ways to install it. I have found a couple of people with the same problem and they had to reinstall windows to make it work. This is really a last resort , so I want to find an alternative.. to be more specific about the error while trying to install. I get this:
Error: (193) - %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

You might want to try running the windows system file checker:

Run the windows command prompt in administrator. (it should be in the start menu under "windows system" right click > more >run as administrator) Then type in "sfc /scannow". It'll run for a while and automatically fix any errors it found. Restart your computer afterwards.

If it doesn't solve the issue directly, try reinstalling that dx stuff again.

Thanks for the tip, but I have run that scan 4 times without succes. I can't reinstall any directx or it gives me errors. I even tried in Clean boot. but nothing.
