How to get Ray Tracing mod?
I've seen this yotube video demonstrating what Black Mesa looks like with Ray Tracing. Does anyone know of a tutorial on how to get this?

It isn't real ray tracing, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ screen space shader and I'm pretty sure it's literally built with ReShade and you need to buy it from some dude's patreon or something

Yes. It is technically a "real" Ray Tracing shader, but isn't native and is considered a "Path Tracing Shader" officially. It uses the depth data, so while it is a screenspace effect, it functions much in the way Ray Tracing does.

The shader is only available with the second tier (5$) donation to Marty's Patreon. He does give you full access to each of his new beta builds of the shader, and for some that's worth the price.

Reshade has to be downloaded and installed separately for it to work. There are some very useful tutorials provided if you need any assistance in installing either, as well.
Game looks fine without Reshade. All this looks like is those awful GTA "remastered" videos with "4k textures" where everything looks unusually wet.
to have it Install reshade, Installation: go to black mesa, browse local file then look for a folder named "bin" then select the file "vvis", Have the qUint shaders by marty mcfly search for google: Pascal glitcher's patreon You will see a website "Pascal Glitcher is creating the ReShade Ray Tracing shader and more, Join the "Breakfast | aka "beta" Now start black mesa wait for the intro then Press the key "Home" Look for a effect called qUint_rt. fx now enable it and have fun!

It is ray tracing/path tracing. The issue is it can only use stuff being rendered in game space. The reflections are semi ray traced for some calculations but in the end they are screen space reflections. The shader only really works well in really old games like jedi outcast/mohaa. (since old games have low geometry and not much shaders being used so less to interfere with reshade shaders)

Worked fine for me thanks, makes it looks a bit weird sometimes but the improvements far outweigh this :)
