Reshade Failing to Work?
So I'm attempting to use Reshade 4.5.4 with Black Mesa, but it fails to work no matter what I do. I've installed the DLLs and shaders/textures for Direct3D 10/11/12, but one of two things happens.

If I leave the .dll file named "dxgi.dll" the game crashes on startup. If I rename this file to "d3d11.dll" as the Reshade installation guide recommends, the Reshade startup window fails to appear in-game and pressing Home does not bring up the settings.

I have no clue what I have done wrong, or what to do to correct this. Any troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: Following the instructions below I attempted to target captioncompiler.exe with Reshade 4.5.4 - the game now starts up with the Reshade dialog, but I had to add "-forceuid3d9" to my launch preferences in Steam

yea just transfer files to the right folder it works good

Two steps forward, one step back. By targeting captioncompiler.exe with Reshade I'm seeing the Reshade dialog box at the top of the screen when I launch Black Mesa, but it crashes every single time while starting up. This is after telling Reshade to use Direct3D 9

In your game folder where Reshade is installed, try renaming the "dxgi.dll" file to "d3d11.dll"

You’re supposed to target vrad.exe.

I followed IAmTheClayman's instructions and ReShade is now working for me; but I didn't have to add anything to my launch instructions.

BM:DE looks great with three layers of AO enabled!
