Flashlight not working!?

So im on an older machine and i just got done downloading the latest patch, but i see my flashlight is not working! i can hear it how it turns on and off! is there a fix? pls nothing stupid like go use a modern pc. thanks

The flashlight is quite dark... try to increase the gamma maybe??

Here is the "Official" fix for the flashlight.

Add these commands to game launch options:

-force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180 -dxlevel 95

Remove "-dxlevel 95" after you close the game or your settings will reset every time you run the game.


Here's how to add commands to the launch options
Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
Under the General tab click the Set launch options ... button.
Enter the launch options you wish to apply (be sure to separate each code with a space) and click OK.
Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

Thanks! can you explain what you mean:
by Remove "-dxlevel 95" after you close the game or your settings will reset every time you run the game. So all i add to the launch options is this then? -force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180
