Why does the G Man have an upper class English accent

AFAIK his lines in Black Mesa are the same sound files from HL1 (maybe recompressed for higher quality? I guess that would require them to have the original recordings from Valve, which I doubt). I get the impression in the original game his accent was incidental to the original voice actor and the 'alien' nature was more conveyed by his odd cadence to his speech.

They arent the same sound files as they legally couldnt use it.

Its now done by the same person that does barney.

I don't understand why people don't like Kevin performance on Gman. I must be deaf, because it sounds very similar, almost the same, he used the same accent and tone of speech not to mention the pitch of his voice is very similar. He did a very awesome job.

His voice is more higher pitched with then the original. However, anyone who listened to to the scene multiple times can tell Kevin rehearsed his lines multiple times to get to the quality we have now. I think he put some true passion into it, otherwise he could have just half ass it in one take and been "good enough", but he didnt.

Why doesnt somebody go make a mod porting over the orginal lines then upload it to the workshop if its truly that terrible.
