Will there ever be a "Black Mesa 2?" (AKA HL2 Remake.)

Half-Life 2 update is not exactly a remake, but it improves the game.

Why would we need a HL2 remake? The game already runs on the Source engine, still looks fine and plays great today! It would be better if all good Source modders would join forces and create a HL2:EP3 mod from the script released lately so we would get some conclusion to the HL series!

Yeah, I think most people seriously underestimate the work that goes into "simple looking remake" projects like BM. Sometimes even the modders themselves ;)! So I would be surprised if we would see a HL2:EP3 mod anytime soon. Or an Opposing Force or BLue Shift remake either. We should be lucky we got BM at all, although it still bugs me that Xen takes so long...
