Props and ragdolls have broken physics.
Whenever I, let's say, gib a vortigaunt up close with the shotgun, the gibs phase through the ground. Or even when I shoot a barrel, it clips through the ground and bounces on a somewhat of an origin point of the model before "sleeping" again and staying clipped until contact. Props can also breach walls and dissappear out of existence. Anyone else got this problem?

Anyone know what can cause this strange behavior on source games?

I have recently been experiencing this same glitch in this exact Source game myself as well. I really wish there were some quick and easy but lasting solutions for these annoying issues.

Yeah you see I WANT to replicate it, haha. If a consistent way was found to, then it would be very large for speedrunning, as the glitch allows a lot of clipping!
