Vortigaunt Eye Glow
That is the strangest, most awful aesthetic choice they've made so far. They literally took the combaine fem-assassin glow effect and stuck it on their middle eye. If the glow was a bit more subtle, or it shone in the dark, that would look amazing. But as it stands, the red flashlight on their face looks terrible.

Supposedly, when we see vorts in xen, the non-hostile vorts will be indicated by a non-glowing eye.

Agreed. It needs to be seriously toned down.

Yep, they know it's a tad bit overdone. The next patch will have the vortigaunt eye covered with a #14 welding shield.

While I dont exactly agree with this completely, I do agree that it should be toned down to be a bit more subtle. Some kind of glow effect in their eye for darker environments would be nice.

Anyone got a screenshot? Is this some new effect? I don't remember the glowing eyes but then again it was a couple of years ago that I played it.

So, it's supposed to show who is possessed by the Nihilanth and who isn't? Or it's just an indication of what's hostile? Because either way, if that's the case, then I'd be okay with it. Just tone it down.

Gotcha. Seems like an odd way to do it, but it makes sense from a design-perspective.

I'm glad to here that they will reel it in because it is silly looking right now. A subtler glow would look great though.
