Voicelines to make the Nihilanth a tragic villain with little known about him

We all know little about the Nihilanth, but here is something that would make the Nihilanth a more 3 dimensional and tragic villain. The Nihilanth should have voicelines such as "I am not the evil one, I'm just trying to save creatures of the Xen" or like "I am not the threat you are looking for, a bigger threat is coming." (referring to the Combine). When Nihilanth teleports you to other areas (like where you defeat the Gargantuan in the original) it should even show some scenarios such as the Combine taking over Xen and Gordon can kill Combine and Xen. And Nihilanth should even show a scenario of Gordon's future in Half Life 2 where in City 17, Gordon faces Xen and Combine Soldiers. This would make the Nihilanth a better villain, he is showing he wants to save the Xen and help Earth defend against the Combine invasion.

It was only a suggestion that would make the Nihilanth more tragic and 3 dimensional

But the Nihilanth isn't really a tragic villain. Yes his race we're wiped out by the Combine, which lines like "We are their we are their slaves we are" and "I am the last" reference to. But that doesn't make him any less of a cowardly dictator, who enslaved other creatures on Xen to use as unwilling cannon fodder and invaded earth in an desperate attempt to flee the Combine's endless advance. He wasn't trying to save anyone but himself.

Oh, okay I just thought since this is a recreation, this would be perfect to make him three dimensional

We are not gonna do stuff like that. We have some pretty dramatically different stuff, but our goal is to respect the HL1 canon as much as possible, within reason. That kind of change carries major story implications that we are not willing to make.

Ehh I think those quotes are a little bit "Too on the nose" if you know what I mean. I kinda prefer the vague statements the Nihilanth already spouts leaves much to interpratation. Just my food for thought though.
