The story is the same.
Game has workshop support.
The aliens are the same.
The developrs have gone out of their way to hire Voice Actors that sound the same.
Graphics are improved.
The enemies are the same.
The chapters are the same.
The weapons are the same.
Maps and levels have been enlarged and/or improved.
Chapters are not the same as BlackMesa suddenly stops as there are no Xen-levels so far... so a real playthough is not possible. Devs say that xen will get released this year... so far we got like 3 screenshots and years of waiting.
You really have to play HL1 before playing BlackMesa, if you want the real.. true HalfLife experience.
Get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ life.
Puzzles: The office complex freezer for example.
Engine: uses the source engine
Weapons: Glock's rapid attack is merged with primary, hand grenade has secondary attack, etc
Enemies : Zombies can be torn in half, medic grunts, alien slaves lower damage, etc
Plus you don't even own the game, go troll somewhere else.
