What's the good resource for nice, legal (not rips), original chipsets and charsets?
I'd go with Charaproject, but it's full of rips and edits. I want something nice and original, but free (I really don't want to pay for stuff that would be used in a free game).

Wow, that is a big question to answer...not much help either so I took up drawing and there's Graphic Gale for free. here are some really helpful resources if you consider just copying a map from Google and then just translating it to 8 bit, 16 bit, 24 bit etc?

Take a look at Refmap. Their site is down for a few years but the license is (was) that it's free to use anywhere as long as the author is credited, and the community has recovered all or most of the resources here: https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/first-seed-material-refmap-gone-resource-recovery-operation-go.27123/

Thanks, Cherry, totally forgot about it. However I'm looking for more artsy, non-RTP looking chipsets. Like graphics in that mystic sunrise thing.

@SOAKER: Yeah, I'll probably end up having o make my own tiles. I wanted to avoid it because I'm not a good pixelartist and it takes too much time for me to make things look good.
