Can you cheat and give yourself money?

I want to know if i can edit my game save and give myself unlimited money, you know.... for research. :)
If you can't edit your save, would someone be kind enough to make a mod to do this?

It is easy enough to do. I with an editor like Notepad++. It is a free download and only takes about a minute to do. All you need to do is:
-start a new game
-save game
-go to your saved games file in the game folder
-open the text document for your saved game using Notepad++ or something similar.
-then you can edit money and save the file.

It honestly takes all of maybe 2 minutes. Even if you are not familiar with editing files. Hope this helps

Is it autosave.txt or.dat? I Tried .TXT already and it did nothing

It is the text document. When you left click on it use the open with function and use the text editor of your choice.

Changing the txt file doesn't change anything in the save, it's only there for the save overview.

There is a mod somewhere that gives you a lot of money, alternatively you could make it yourself using the test mod on the website forum at swinc.net/forum.

If need be, you can also use Cheat Engine, its a free download. I've used this after my save broke in 4.3 to see how much insurance money it takes to make $10k/month.....it takes alot

Yeah, sure.
U will find mods folder here: ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Software Inc\Mods

How do u use the cheat engine? Cant get it to find or change the money. I use SEK currency ingame

Just go to mods- currencies and put the currency you want to use to whatever you want.
