let us say you spend like 15 million to take them over. This seems reasonable but then its crazy.
i suddenly got like 1 billion back.
I would buy over all new companies take 95% ownership this would mean I could kill any unwanted software releases... (open-source, OS) Buying 95% of the companies was costing about $25k per company which is nothing when your wage bill is reach 150k per month. The only problem was the those that I had to either buy over or went under. I would end up with a bunch of crap software that clutters my menues.
I think both stocks and reputation should really be reworked.
The reason your reputation is dropping is probably due to the server needs of your new IP, this shouldn't affect you though, I'm planning to disable having to support networking from IP you bought
Also, out of topic: have you ever played GamBiz series[www.veloci.dk]? Visually they look like crap, thought I think you could get inspiration for some ideas if you are looking for any. They had some interesting mechanics. Especially considering the time they were released in. Or maybe its just my mind remembering them in the brighter colours :) Anyway I've been looking for any similar game since and Software Inc. is the closest to a vision of a game I always had in mind.
