Possible to have 2 teams on one project?
I have one project/contract running. We are two people, me the founder work at 8-17 and the other one work in another team work 17-01:00. The two teams is called Day shift and one Night shift. When their shift is up i have to manually change project team to who comes to work to make my method work. Any way to put two teams into one project? Not sure if someone did this before but i want my project running all day and night with shifts and this is the only way i could do it, manually change team. Possible to make it automaticly? Help please? Sorry for my horrible english. Thanks for your time.

Not at the moment. But its a great idea and one that i'm sure the dev will like providing its not already on his to-do list. :)

I have a work-around planned where you can make one team have different meeting times, so they can work in shifts.

I would love the idea of having more than one team working on a project. I currently have a core team and a support team... however, the support team is done working on the support of a previous project so I wanted to have them assist the core team on a new project. As of right now I have to change everyone's team from support to core. It would be nice to be able to ctrl+click additional teams on a project.

rafy, that is what you have to do in real life though, actually ask one or more individuals to join another team temporarily. The team is usually defined by and stays with its normal role, and individuals swap between teams as resources are required.

Then you have to change the members back to the other team when you are done. It's not an elegant way to do it. Assigning the team to the project is a better way to do it. Maybe there is a penalty of sorts because the 2nd team is "not up to speed".

Well it's true you have to move the people back, again like you would in real life. However, one idea is for workers to have a team they belong to, and an option to "loan" their time to another team, on the understanding the game will switch them back automatically when that other team has finished working on the current project? (or at the end of the month or whatever) That would be even more like real life.

We had a development team(system design), layout person (artist/designer) and support. Once everything went through layout, everyone reviewed the work and gave suggestions to improve or give it the thumbs up. So, the only phase where everyone was involved was the layout review. but, that was us.

Another way would be to have a "pool" where the coding team, say, had all the coders in the company in it, and the project moved to them at development time. But in order not to be a headache they'd have to sensibly prioritise their time to ensure the project with the shortest deadline was worked on ahead of the one with loads of time.

Right. We had a layout department but one person would work on one project at a time. The designers interacted with marketing(and sales) to figure out what was needed and if the project was feasible. This was over 20 years ago so it's possible that layout would do many aspects of a project today as there are more features in products now.
