Nothing gets fixed
I've got Anti-summer devices and light bulbs everywhere that never get fixed. Are maint. supposed to fix them? Or am i supposed to sell and buy new ones every few months?

Make sure they aren't blocked and that maintenance can get to them. Don't place lamps above objects or AC above radiators or desks.

Ah. Have been stacking my ac and radiators... didnt they have ladders in the 80's?

Does anyone also find it odd that a programmer needs IT support? Does some guy with a foreign accent come in and ask a C++ programmer if he has tried turning it off and back on again?

You can stack ac and radiators, no problem. If your problem persists in spite of this, you can send a save file to SoftwareInc@Coredumping.com and I'll check it out.

Speaking as a programmer working at a big company I usually call IT when my computer stops working, not for small stuff or software problems, but I've had a docking station break once in a while.

I halfway meant that as a jest since I love the English TV show "The IT Crowd" and they always answer the phone with, "Is it plugged in? Have you turned it on and off again?" But I still found it a bit odd, since I would think a programmer would run circles around most computer people as far as fixing troubles.

But the AC stacking thing, I did have trouble with the maintenance guy showing up and not repairing it until the AC was moved to a different wall. I know you'll get it sorted, but a nice opt out button in your options would be nice for some of us when you get around to the minutia of fixes. Thanks much. It's going to be a beautfully fun game.

While I was back in the game, I remembered why the repair guy couldn't get to the AC... It was above my computer desk. I'll stack them above my radiators from now on.

Ah, okay. I think there's a big difference between being good at working with computers and being a good programmer, the former requires more experience whereas the latter requires knowledge, very roughly speaking of course. In my country "Computer Science" is called Datalogy and was mainly about data and it's uses, you didn't really need to get near a computer to get a degree in it. That has changed somewhat, so that the education lives up to international computer science standards, but the fundamental idea still stands I believe, programming doesn't necessarily have to involve computers as we know them today.

Edit: Just saw your edit
