Yes, once you get hundreds of employees pathing around it does start to chug a bit. I haven't done rigorous empirical testing but making them go up multiple floors via stairs seems to hurt the frames more than elevators.
My current save file is approaching 1000 employees, I'd say it wasn't noticeable until 600+. If you wanna have a buttery smooth max speed you gotta do a CEO and roleplay some layoffs!
Yeah i'm currently at 1067 employees, I like when I make a project it's done quickly. I'll go renovate away the stairs.
Hopefully we get a performance upgrade at some point. Thanks for the reply anyway
