Expand Bulding Area?

Hi! Is there a way to expand the area where I can build? I want to build parking lots, but have no space left. :)

Go to build mode, on the borders of the squared area where you can build, white sign boards will appear. You can drag the white sign boards further to increase your land. While you drag a price tag will appear with how much it will cost to purchase the land.

?? It still works the same way. If there are roads there and you want to build something else on them, you will have to delete the roads first. But the sign posts are still the same as ever.

there is nothing there for me, is it on the edge in the middle or in the corners? (either way its not their but thought I would ask anyway)

i also can not find the signboards

You have to hover over the area for them to appear. They are directly in the middle of the current space, just on the outside of the grid.
