Design Document explanation needed (preferably from devs)
It might be just me but the current itteration of the design document can be a bit confusing.

As it stands the ETA and the estimated Team number are either for only the design or the actual programming of itsself. Its totally unclear while I assume its only for the design. Also in terms of specialisation does this go only for the actual design or for the development itsself.

So do I need 2 Teams one for design and one for development for the ETA and all to match up?
If this is the case one feature is direly needed which is to start designing the followup while the actual development takes place, since this would be kind of like how the industry handles it right now in real life.

Once your product is in development the design team then can be occupied with designing the followup while the programmers and artists can actually work on the first version which also can be marketed.

Any feedback is highly appreciated.

The estimated team number is how many should be working on it at any one time.

In general, you should have a team for each job, except for development, where artists and programmers should be on the same team, but that won't be the case when I add the ability to have several teams on one project. In the beginning you might have everybody on one team, but it can greatly affect the result if you don't split out your workers to focus on what they are best at.

Having designers work on something while your devteam works on something else is completely up to you, and not something that changes anything in how the game works.

Thanks for the answer this clears up quite a bit. I am for sure looking forward to assign multiple teams to one work task that makes team layouts way more feasable.

Would you consider to add a feature to give your employees more specific roles?

What I am thinking of is to limit what task an employee is allowed to do like this artist is only allowed to do 2d art this would make managment a lot cleaner.

Another thing that would be nice is to allow to create custom job roles that then can be assigned to employees and rooms in conjunction with the above.

Like you give a designer the role of 2d and 3d artist call the role something like visual artist and then be allowed to assign new employees that kind of roll as well as rooms.

Just an idea :)
