Any reason to improve on audio/video tools?
Is there any reason to improve on audio/video tools, like creating a V2?
With everything I understand about the game by now, it seems like it doesn't have any effect which tools you use, if you developed them years ago, or just a few months ago, which would make a lot of difference in real life.
Maybe I'm just missing the effect, I'm still quite new to the game, but I was just wondering.

With an audio tool, you can get an improved result with an OS that has improved audio features I believe. Same with the visual. 3D graphics edit could be more valuable to 2D graphics edit. I think the key is to release different products and not visual tool after visual tool. Anti-Virus for a new OS is also a good idea. I'm sure there are game tweaks to come. Features(profits for various categories) now may either improve or diminish. I can now make good moneyon an AV where I couldn't before.

So it would only make sense to release a new version when something new has arrived (like 3D)? That does kinda make sense, I hadn't thought of that.

When you release sequels to products they get a boost in sales and reputation, which can be quite significant if the old release was popular and the new release is even more popular.

The quality of a product effects the quality of the product it is used in, but it is not time based, which I will be looking in to. However, new features still somewhat force you to release new versions, since you can't make a 3D game without a 3D visual tool, for example.

Does Releasing an OS then making Software/games for it make the OS more popular?
