No, they do not. If you buy out a whole company, their IP's become yours and their company will cease to exist.

It'd be cool if we can take over their operations too. Like buying one out would unlock/add their building to our gameplay.

I am definately sure. I cant have played wrong for over 60 hrs...
They cease to exist, all their IPs and patents are transferred to you and I think you'll also get their fans. If you just want to make money off other companies, buy all of their stocks except the topmost one. That way you'll always get part of their income.
This is especially useful if you watch the upcoming releases. Try to buy a lot of shares of companies that are going to release an OS. If their OS is uber succesful, you'll make a crazy amount of cash from dividends and increasing stock prices.

@Aakri yep right from the start i am doing the same thing....buying all stocks except the top one and making profit during big releases...but didn't find any advantage of buying whole company though except in case when the company releases something big and if you buy the company immediately only then we make profit until that product cease to exist.

Think this way too: If you buy your competitors, you will make more profit on your own products, as your competition is all gone :)

I think that should be given to us as an option.

There's many company takeovers but they're left to run as separate companies.

I think that if you buy out a company, you should be able to review their staff and if they have a good team producing the product you just acquired, you should be able to hire them and put them to work. Basically, you take over the IP and the team, move them into your building and they keep working on the project!
