AC and Heat
How are people figuring out how many AC and heating units are needed? Trial and error? Math? I seem to always get messages about AC units not being able to cool enough. I have added what seems like 75+ AC units and the message won't go away.

Are you using the latest testing version 8.10.15? It is fixed there.

One unit is enough for around 375m². If you don't want to calculate, then create a blueprint of the building and look in the blueprint info window, how large the building is in square meters.
If the building has 1200 m², then you have to add at least 4 units to the building.

That's awesome. That was a acomplaint of mine. It was hard to determine the heating. Have you noticed if window heating effects are included?

Thanks for the info. That save is older than 8.10.15, but I'll remember for the future.

How do the central heaters work? Do they just need to be placed anywhere in the same building or is there some adjacency requirement? How is the heat distributed? Do I need something else to distribute it?

So far as I know, and so far as I've used them, simply place them. There is no adjacency requirement that I've found. The heat is distributed based on what is connected to the building; one building's central heating/cooling won't heat another building without the two being connected.
Again, simply based upon what I've found.

Forget the AC it make noise and not much else, I build my offices the size of the square you begin with, I use 4 radiators, and 4 small fans above the radiators, and that does the trick for me.
I put the heater in an basement, that I build under my office, a basement I expand as needed, the basement also serves as the Server-room.
In short forget the AC, you don´t need it.

Thanks.. Just tried, seems that if I make a "maintenance shed" and have it hooked up by a corridor, I can just throw a bunch of each AC's and Central heaters in there.

Psh, I just throw them in my reception room with some walls separating the main room and the heating/cooling. XD
Noise isn't really a factor so long as they're in their own room.

I place them in the hallway and decorate it.
