Help with manufacturing
Getting hang of the game now but haven't ventured into manufacturing. So finally coming to ask for help.

Setting up a basic console line and this is where its confusing. I set up up following the blue print on the first printer i plopped down. Went to go assign it to development and it wants double the Second line assembly things, I've tried using a switch and a recycler after and both i get the icons saying im sending the product to an invalid location? How does this work

I usually do it in reverse order from recycler, through final assembly, pre-final assembly to the printers, this makes me see it more clearly what else I may need to make everything work as it is supposed to.
So usually, if there is more than one assembler in the middle of the blueprint, the line may either need a splitter, or separate conveyor belts all the way from printers to the middle of assembly process.
In console line the controller takes 2h to print and the device input only 30m. Thus we need 4 device inputs being printed by one printer while 4 printers print controllers. However, for the process to go smoothly and not stall with unfinished components we need two assemblers. The problem is that we now have 2 assemblers but only one printer for device input. This is where the splitter takes a major part. The splitter will ensure that after 30 min the 1st device input goes to the left assember, after another 30 min the 2nd to the right assember, then to the left again and right again, splitting them evenly for assemblers to queue. Then, finally, 4 controllers will arrive for splitting in the exactly the same manner: 2/2. Thus 2 controllers can finally be assembled with 2 device inputs in each of 2 assemblers. Thus, 4 controllers and 1 device input -> Splitter -> 2 Assemblers.
On the right side of the blue print with everything being even and 1:1 there is no need for any splitter at all. You need two assembers, sure, but you also need two printers for each of the components. So naturally each assembler assembles 1 Plastic and 1 Drive Bay. So you can output 1 Plastic and 1 Drive Bay -> 1 Assembler and simply do it by having twice such part of the line (separate conveyor belt each to not mix stuff up before middle assembly) or, if you really want a splitter, 2 Plastics and 2 Drive Bays -> Splitter -> 2 Assemblers.
Finally,
LEFT: [4 controllers and 1 device input -> Splitter -> 2 Assemblers]
RIGHT: [1 Plastic and 1 Drive Bay -> 1 Assembler]x2 OR [2 Plastics and 2 Drive Bays -> Splitter -> 2 Assemblers]
[LEFT]+[RIGHT] -> 1 Assembler -> 1 Recycler -> ...
