Report a translation problem
Not necessarily a dividing wall specifically, you're absolutely correct that it's also a major pain to do that, but when I build things in other games I like to place down walls like an outline of what I want the finished product to roughly look like before filling in the details. Like when people sketch stuff, if that makes any sense. Like markers where I want there to be rooms or for testing to see if a certain layout will work and be aesthetically pleasing. Can't do that in this game just because you're forced to build entire rooms lmao

You then create a blueprint. The Blueprint will provide information as to the cost to place the building without the land cost. That is how the game is made for the build to be used.
You can also save the building as a rental property and then just move in and pay rent.
