Why add more features
What is the reason to add more features when expected interest is already at 100%. Is there any benefit if i add more, i know that 2D editor has the beautiful, which decreases refunds. But is there any other reasons, to not change the software?

Adding features is basically only important if you make a product sequel, as otherwise people will think it's the same old thing.

Hmm... I didn't realize that. I don't recall that the game ever indicated that there's any benefit to adding features to sequels. As long as you keep updating the tech level, the satisfaction percent seems to stay the same, so that's pretty much all I've been doing until new tech comes along, like 3D and Networking.

All I did was create a “perfect” software with 100% expected interest and nobody seems to complain about it being the same thing I released 18 times in a row

But does it really matter?

Well, they do it with Fifa IRL, it seems accurate for me haha

True, the newest thing is story mode from 2017

the only advantage of stacking features is to ensure future interest. The interest you see is the interest at the start of development, but if it takes you 6 years to make it the interest levels will be different. It's usually better to develop within 3 years, so there's really no reason to prepare for this.

But does expected interest ever decrease, because i made the same software 18 times. And it was still at 100 expected interest?
Well as long as you update the technology year of the features, then it's basically the same as a new feature. But if it is 1:1 without updating the tech year, then you should see a drop in sales. At least this was still the case a few months ago.

I don't really touch it, and i just see increasing sales. So idk if my games i bugged
How many years have passed since then and how off is the tech year to the current year?
Kage Apr 30, 2021 @ 1:37pm
I don’t increase the tech year, but I think it does it by default so the highest?
Only if you would use a new framework. If not, you would be stuck with the same tech year as before.

I don’t even develop a framework, I don’t feel it’s worth the trouble.
Kage May 1, 2021 @ 8:34am
Because then I forgot to use it, and it’s not worth the development time
