you literally need an army of designers
Ill wait for your tutorial tho (could you post here when you make it or?), im still early in the game, dont think i need to worry about research just yet
So to hit on somethings.
1. When researching, the game will not warn you if you don't have the required designers with the proper skill level. So, research at your own risk. With that being said, you CAN hire whatever skill level you want, just know, it might not be as fast as you want.
2. You WILL need the recommended designers.
3. I would make a research team for each respective category too because if you don't and try researching multiple categories, the team will lose effectiveness because of too many tasks being done at once.
4. I wouldn't start research until around 1985 because that's when 3D and Network comes out.
5. Researching allows your law teams to potentially patent the category thus giving you income every time sometimes uses that tech in their software.
6. Lastly, when your law teams are patenting, said product, if another AI finishes research on that category, you will lose the ability to patent it. I suggest starting in January every year on maybe 1 or 2 that you will use in the next few years. Also, stagger this on certain software so you can maximize your profits for the years to come.
Also the amount of $$ you can get in royalties is absolutely pathetic. There's no reason to bother.
