Pie Chart Reading Help?

Is there any real explanation on how to read the pie chart correctly. I've been looking at making a really good OS after spending tons of time producing 2D editors. When i select all the available things i can put in the OS (year 1990) i see so many new skills needed. Basically all in one pie chart. Some of the colors just confuse me with how its all together. I have no idea what purple and orange mean. Even when it comes down to the default 3 things i got a little confused on reading the chart. Under the "Code" chart there was green system and blue audio. When i start the dev of the product it starts with system and audio Design. Does the chart say that it would be system and audio design and then just system deign in the programming? If so, how would i properly read it with so many other things added?

The code types are not color-coded. They just get some different colors so they appear differently. The pie chart should also have labels next to the pie slices telling you which code type you need
