Deal (design and dev)
Ok, I have a question about those.
If I finish designing (or dev) ahead of schedule will I get full amount for it?

For example, OS design deal. Let's say it pays 1k per day and a deadline at 100days.
I finish designing at day 50, outstanding quality, etc.
If I hit develop at said day 50 will I receive 100k or 50k?

Deals are broken right now. If it pays 1k per day, then you'll receive 1k every day until you finish it or the deal ends. You can even never work on deals, leaving them unassigned, and you will be still paid.

"leaving them unassigned, and you will be still paid" that's actually how it should be. And it's logical. You're paid to deliver the product at set time, so how hard you work on it is up to you. I pause design deals after they reach outstanding, keep getting money for them and send them to development at last day. The thing is, it's kinda strange to have totally useless notification and it would be more logical to recieve a bonus for well done job ahead of schedule.

Maybe it's logical, but it's the most unrealistic thing in the game because after months, you can send the work at 0% with no downsides. Even hosting is more balanced because you have at least build a server room.

" you can send the work at 0% with no downsides" Agreed. Deals should have minimum quality reqs and penalties for underachiving, more like contracts.
Tested deals.
1) Deals are working fine.
2) Sending bad quality design deals to customer will give reputation penalty.
3) In given example, you will receive only 50k, no bonuses for early completion or payout of remaining fee whatsoever.

So leave those deals paused and send them to customer at last day.
Which, in this case, is useless micromanagement (as you need to keep track of all completed deals, in order to release them in time before the deadline).
And if you don't like the micromanagement (and release the design/code as soon as it is finished), you are punished for good, fast work.

Perhaps the better altenative would be a fixed amount of money (regardless of the time design/development takes) with a deadline + minimum quality ... and a bonus if exceeding the quality (+maybe a bonus for completing it very fast) as well as a hefty penalty for exceeding th deadline or not meeting minimum quality
I just don't bother with micromanagement deals. I only do hosting and marketing deals and create my own software.
I have >1m per month from design deals.
Covers my employee salaries almost entirely. Not to mention training opportunities for those not yet 100% experienced designers and leads.

Hosting deals are sweet. Free money as I call them.

Don't bother with marketing deals, since my 50+ market crew is constantly busy marketing my software.

Its been 3 years now, did the dev have plans to change it ?

a good option would be that you get the remaining money from it.

But for me, in my opinion the design deals need a rework, you have to much time and get to much money for it. You can never go bankrupt with a 3 stars reputation and enough design deals
