is it possible to change how many days in a month?
biggest problem with game dev was the years just zip by way too fast
is this an easy ini poke around or some hard coded 2 days a month thing?

when starting a new game, you can chose between 1-7 days a month on the right side of the menu

ah... well think im onboard with this, watching a youtuber play it with 2 day months, which seems a bit weird

You can select upto EIGHT days a month, my first game I went with 7 as in 7 days a week - I'm now 9 years into the game ('89) and wish I selected fewer days - I've not found any sort of option to change the days mid game, so not sure it's possible (or if the dev can add it in at some point?)

2 days does seem strange - a friend of mine is playing on 4 days a month - and thinks of them as "weeks" - my next game I'm going to go with 4. I enjoy playing slow, (over 100 hours now and only 9 years in) but 7 days is very slow.

My dilemia now is - do I start again, now I know a little more about the game... or carry on, as I'm well established and making my first OS.

On the screen where you design your character - the option over on the right hand side.

Lets know what you pick, why and how you find it. It's all down to personal preference though.

1 day months are very quick I can tell you now.

I am in the year 95. Have zero employees outside my CEO character and have a single release product, an Outstanding OS that my super character did himself.

ITs certainly faster to play this way but things like Research and original IPs are created slowly.

I have now several millions and am gonna start a hiring spree for my new building.

I've been playing 2 days per month, and I think it works pretty well. I like to think of it as each day representing half a month. So, the first half is generally just work, and the second half is when I always release my products (unless they're losing followers like crazy), since they can get just a few more bug fixes done. I mean, sure, I have a 24 man support team (8 per shift, 3 shifts) that could handle bugs, but I'd hate to send out a buggy product that'll end up making people return it before I fix it.
