Are meeting rooms worth having?
I have created a few meeting rooms; however, it seems that I lose time used for work, while they are at a meeting.

I think the idea is they're gaining a boost while meeting. Once the meeting is over, they go back to their desk and crank out a bunch of "Work".. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's the ides.

I think that may be part of the idea, but the main idea of meetings is to cure isolation and social needs.

That just about sums up how they work in real life ;). Popuar Meme. "Feeling lonely? Call a meeting".

Maybe they should add a later tech. "SCRUM meeting". That could be something to use in Project Management settings.

IMO having leader in team is a waste of time at current game state (alpha9.10.4), so meeting rooms for teams are worthless. Haven't tried offers yet, so can't tell if they'll change anything in that matter.

Very useful for social needs and a general boost. Thanks to meetings, kitchen, and a perfect workplace, you can increase working time. They work for me 12 hours per day without complains.

So a meeting room "increases" working time

I had two picnic benches outside the building - currently December & snowing - not marked as "meeting" or anything special, and I noticed TWO of my smaller teams were having meetings - it was the same "room" but they each were on their own picnic bench - WOW Meeting in the snow! Cooooool. :)

Pity no snowman was left after the meeting :(

I am in the process of testing out the mechanics of meetings, effectiveness of Leads, as well as having an active Canteen on the overall work of a team and their projects. Keep an eye out for my update to my 'Recommended Employees for Project' thread for my results.

Nice, Yeah any table with chairs will count as a meeting space if one is not marked. From my understanding

Cool, didn't know this :)

I have noticed also people sit at them waiting for shift change and a free computer - e.g. 3 support teams on 3x8 hr shifts.

I've seen some characters do some very silly things while waiting for a shift change. In particular, one of my support crew took over one of my dev team leader's offices that was still not assigned to anyone. My support team is on the ground floor, but that office was on the ninth floor. He was sitting there complaining about his job. I couldn't help but laugh.

Having a regular meetings keeps your workers efficiency well above 100% (if in ok team and place). Without meetings I've seen socials eff. dropping to 50% ....can maybe go below.
