How to define a meeting room?

I'm using the apartment building, and when I told my character to be lead, well now they have meetings, all the way up on floor 4 on the picnic benches. I have a room with chairs and tables, how do I tell them to use that room for meeting?

I have assigned all the chairs to the employees in the room I want for meetings, but it didn't make a difference, they still use the 4th floor lol.

Do this on the meeting room: right click room -> limit room usage -> meeting.
If this alone isn't enough do this on the room/area with the picnic benches: right click room -> limit room usage -> canteen or lounge.

if you are using team based rooms don't forget to add the team to the room
(right click room -> switch team -> team a/b/c/...)

Now I know how to set the room usage, what do the room groups do? Are they usable in that you can quickly assign teams to room groups? And limit room usage to room groups? Or they are just there for organization purposes for the player?

Making room groups is indeed an easier way to conviently change multiple rooms to teams / staff (cleaning, it, ...)
If you shift click multiple rooms or if you have assigned them to a room group, you can easily change all the settings for those rooms (like limit room usage, assign teams, assign staff, ....).

If you are using like multiple single person offices in a huge office tower, this feature really helps when changing settings / teams / ...
For a small building with just a few rooms, there's no need to room group.
