The Power of Hosting (£100M/month)
I'm not completely sure whether or not this is an intentional feature in the game or not, but, in the mid-late game, hosting is completely broken IMO.

I am currently making £100M+/month revenue just off of hosting other companies websites, games etc.

Obviously, I am not making £100M/month profit since I am losing about £45M/month just to the bills. I don't even have a large office (It is around 125 employees) but I have invested a large amount of money into my server room in the basement. I have probably invested well over £3M - £4M just building the room/servers.

I just wanted to know everyone else's opinion on whether or not hosting broken.

So your turnover is 100M but that isn't your profit. And if this was Dragons Den or an investor looking at it they need to know your costs/turnover (aka profit).
I am hosting atm, no where near those figures. However, you do have employees, so I am assuming its not solely hosting you are doing. I am doing everything, printing, hosting, design/programming deals and making my own software too. Still not doing 100M turnover tho LOL.

Yeah hosting doesnt make you rich, nice bit of extra passive income though.

I beg to differ tbh. I managed to load a save and get a screenshot of my game, I must have had a glitched hosting deal or something because after what was about 13 months of earning £50M+/month profit it abruptly dropped back to the original which was about £7-£8M/month off of hosting.

Here is a image proving what I got, I only managed to get one month of it unfortunately:

I just loaded the same save and decided to go back a little further. I managed to find the months where I was making £50M/month profit off of just 'deals' which I promise you was only hosting.

At this point I am willing to put this down to a glitch OR I was using a mod that added a couple more software to the game but affected nothing but the number of types of software in the game.

EDIT:

I have just thought that I could have been running a hosting deal for a company that had one of these 'new' software types released. This new software type might have been making me all the millions - I'm not knowledgeable in modding so I am not completely sure whether or not this could be a possibility.

Do you have the hardware mod? >>> a lot of youtubers/others used that and said when they hosted or made one, they end up making billions from it.

Also, I noice your electric bills are quite tiny for that? Well I thought hosting is internet and electricity...maybe your getting a good per MB deal than I have done...
What I do know, is the deal is based on how well they do. So it goes "potential" or something like that, memory usage. However, it depends how many consumers they get on the market. So I accepted one which bombed on the market. The potential was 13gbps but when it expired it only reached 123mb (that was after 2 years).

The dev did say there are balancing issues, so glitch or just the way its programmed currently...may be the issue as well.

I just checked my subscribed items and I do have the Hardware mod installed :D I guess that is the source of my problem. Thank you for all the information you have given me!

Also which YouTubers is it you saw with this mod that made billions, I'd be interested in watching their play throughs.

I watch quite a lot on that mod as I wanted to see what it was.
So I don't rmember precisely who but it be either ConflictNerd, GamerCory or Flabinki (think thats how you spell his name). They had a series about 2-3 months ago on this.
