Server/Printing empire
Just asking does anyone else just create one big software item, and then just have a huge server and printing operation?

Using the printing operation would be against my little rule to not absuse a broken feature, so i don't do that.

Got three servers room in every game i had till now.

The main one is for digital stuff (digital distribution and softwares that need online need). Then i got my internal servers, for my company. Lastly i got an external server for contract.

For printing i always get a good room. most of the time i go for 10 printing machine, and i grow it later one. I always keep my storage racks as double the numbers of printers (R=2P), so i can store a lot. That way i can print mky softwares and do a lot of contracts :D.

It dont make you rich (wel from my experiences), but it does give you a small extra form of revenues. Plus it save you money in the long term.

I kinda figured the printing operation system is kinda broken, I got a full facility made that literally from printing jobs supports my whole company

Actually printing can pay all your HR costs easily, it is immensely profitable with no downsides except clicking on courier icon often.

[testing build]

i have 164 server in 1987, started in 1980.
with a high market share (i have 100% monopoly) you get much better deal.
I have deal up to 17.7%, the average between 7~12%

11.6Gbps max bandwith, currently 34% usage, single cluster.
- (-)180k€ internet cost
- (+)166k€ digital distribution
- (+)68k€ hosting

it's a very low month, sometime it goes up to 70% usage with a big release
The printing help me staying above water, but with good server managment i could do hosting only.

Don't forget to check for new company a get a deal as early as possible.
I also buy stock but i'm losing more than i earn i think :D

i have 3 subsidiary + 2 bankrupted company

i'm worth only 100M€ with 6.6M€ in cash.
0 product released, i just started with a few contract and i only take printing and hosting deal.

i have 400+M worth of stock and probably didn't invest more than 1 or 2M.
Buy new company as soon as they come into existence and some of them will pay.
I also have 5 subsidiary and for the company that went bankrupt, you get the IP, it's not too bad.

If a company get a patent before you do, try to get stock from them.
If they go bankrupt you have a chance to retrieve the patent (but it only pay on the very long term)

I've made big bucks on the stock & subsidairy system.

My subsidaries (4 current save) started at +- 500k, worth now a 163mil. One of them released operating systems, that one normally would have gone bankrupt yet I pumped a lot of cash in it (+-40m) to keep it afloat while making software for his OS exclusively. Now, he's worth 98mil. I already withrawed +- 75mil from him for the capital injection in his beginning stage so he should be worth 172m. :)

On stocks, I had the luck of buying into a now top 5 firm. I completely forgot about him, otherwise I would have made him a subsidairy as well. Purchased stocks for 73k *2. Now each of 'm is worth +-89m.
