As for why I play at the slower pace, it's because essentially there are two aspects to the game; the monthly simulation, which is mostly about statistics, and the daily simulation, which is mostly about your building and the people who work there. I enjoy both aspects equally so 4 days/month allows me to make the most of that.
To me, playing 1 day a month would feel like the statistics side of things becomes far more important, almost to the point where you might as well remove the graphics from the game and just play with the numbers... The opposite is also true—at 7 days a month things progressed far too slowly for my liking, and the Fast Forward button inevitably saw very heavy use.
I'm happy playing in the middle ground, but it's great that we do get to choose how we want to play. Each to their own. :)
I myself play on 8 days and share the same sentiments as Rainbow Droid here. It is really awesome when I have a roughly 400 employee setup going and its nice to just be able to take a moment to stare at the ant hill moving about its business without having to constantly poke this or click that with 1/day months.
Nice, you just necro'd a roughly 5 year old thread to answer a question that was already answered...how do you even manage that lol...
Btw I use search to find discussions about things but I don't do that necro thing.
