Blueprint makes basement aboveground

Usually i'd build my own office but i'm currently lazy and downloaded all these cool building blueprints. Here's the problem, whenever I try to build one with a basement, it makes the basement aboveground. How do you fix this? I'm on stable, or current version or whatever.

Load the blueprint, and then go to the basement view. Then, place the building. The basement will be placed underground as it is meant to be.

This is quite a funny quirk to the game, as I learned it the hard way when trying to design my 'dream' robotic employee factory setup for mass numbers in smallest space possible. I eventually just chopped it up into the above ground and below ground sections before I realized you could just place it in the basement all at once <.<
