Don't take that the wrong way; I'm fairly new myself and still learning -- I haven't yet dared try a game at higher than the default difficulty level (whatever that may be), but I look forward to one day being good enough to try again.
I really hope thats whould be issue....but i guesst its not. I have start new game with lots of money. Develop new Sotfware : 2DEDITOR. Relaese in Outstanding quality and no bugs. I start with 3 Marketer and push to 5 Marketers...its only sells few Hunders and far away to be profitabl....

How did you market the product while it was in development - design, alpha, beta - What strategy did you use and when???
How many "followers" did you have when you released the product
Are you marketing the product after launch ?, if so, What budget?
Do you have a support team to handle the tickets and fix post release bugs / queries? (looking at the screen shot I don't see a support card on the right, just a design and a marketing card).
Do you have the product in stock - the screen shot doesn't quite show this column - just off to the right.
Alpha 8? - looks like you're playing Alpha 8 - you might want to join the testing branch and go with Alpha 9, (I'm new to the game and went with A9, apparently a lot has changed since A8, and I've found it very stable now. Alpha 9.10.3.
I´m this week at home and try lots of things. Alpha 8 and 9, too. But i guess i have not so succul Marketing. I begin to early and lost lots of follewers. But i guess its very big different between normal and Hard mode. In normal mode even with very low marketing you can make millions and thats not possible in Hardmode....so I will have begin with 3. try today.
I pick mostly top 3-5 OP. Depent on how many User. They have mostl more then over 500.000.
I finaly manage to selling! Marketing in the righ time is everthing!
Don't forget when you go into alpha also create a HYPE card for your marketing team - when follower start dropping down, the HYPE will slow the rate it drops down, until you can do another press build.
I got one team working for audio softwre development and 2d editor. they alternate between the sotwares
one team (my main one) started doing anyi virus development, the first two AV did not do well but then they starting doing decent and they starting developing office as well..
