That's not longer in the game last time I check.
For your physical distribution you can either order copies, or print copies, and you can find this option on your release software section.
-when you order copies they got out to the virtual store immediately.
-when you print copies they stay in your warehouse and you got to call or hire a courier to take them to the store. if you printing for the first day release make sure is not too late in the virtual day/month youll need time to print and deliver the copies and you'll end up losing sales so if you think is gonna be a big hit and cant keep up with production you better off ordering them.
I haven't been able to up the marketing during the pre-release, Im still on the learning ropes, this is what I learn so far
-announce release day, you have 2 options do it as soon you start development allways give yur selft extra time I dont think there is anypenalties for early release, or do it once you get out of alpha and into delay(in this case I do 3 month for small projects)
-do press release during alpha but do a review first I personally dont do anything under 5/10, some prefer a perfect 7/10.
-press build, do it as soon you get out of alpha and into delay(you should be announcing release date 3 month from then(small projects) if you haven't yet, if you have and you early from the release date is ok just make sure you keep an eye on the fan build up it usually takes 3 month on small projects to start droping, do hype as well and once you see fan build up drop release game.
