Anyone else think the current vacation mechanics don't make sense?

Why would i send all of my employees out for vacation at the same time?

Ya, I agree. I would like it if they worked for the vacation, some people dont go on one for years. Also, I usually end up having multiple teams just for this reason. Maybe if a hand full of people went on vacation instead of the whole team? That would be nice.

I think on hiring an employee they should have a randomly selected month that they want off personal or at least give the option to set them individually.

Does anybody else has problems with employees going on vacation several times a year? In my game some of my employers goes on vacation for 2 or 3 months.

Yup, I do.

The last patch where vacations were tweaked broke how they work in my saves at least.
Some employees in one specific team go on vacation at different time.

I know you gotta give them like a year or so to adjust for the new vacation plan but I've used the same one for about 15 years now and 1/3 team goes on vacation in April the rest in June.

I'd like it as an actual feature where you could divide e.g. 50 employees of Team A go on vacation in June and 50 employees go on vacation in July.

But since it came as a surprise and I cannot do anything about it, it's a drag.
Also education is not at fault here (I haven't educated them when this has been happening).

I think the system ist okay the way it works. But you should not let all employees of a team in one month on vaction. Give them a range of 2-3 months (you can adjust this) and they will spread across this time span. Then when you have in mind when do you need which team most, you can deal with it quite good.

I have this issue to, I just posted this on the feedback thread:

So far my biggest complaint is the extra vacations my employees take all the time. It seems like if send them off for education within a couple months of them going to or coming back from vacation, they end up taking another one. Almost every time they'll take one vacation, come back to work for a month, then take another vacation. I play 1 day per month and this is before the point in the game where I start using project management.

Ok Good to know I'm not the only one. Let hope the dev can get it fixed in the next update. I'm early game as well, and my relaseses are really suffering when someone decides to take serveral months vacation. I have also noticed that in the manage emplyees window it is listed when each worker is expected to take vacation, but this dosen't fit at all in my experience.

Yep, the month and year listed seem to be meaningless.
