FEEDBACK: Level 1 lever puzzle (Contains Spoliers)
I recently finished level one of the updated dungeon, and I have to say there's a little too much of jimmying levers.

TL;DR: I feel that the final corridor with the timed levers is simply a waste of time. Read on for the why.

The first time I encountered these levers I was trying to beat the timer. I could only make it to the second trap door. It didn't take long for me to decide to try to beat the lever instead.

Conquering the first trap give me a sense of triumph which was great. Then I encountered the next set and found I had to jimmy them up instead of down.

I thought "Cool, OK". So spent a while manipulating the environment and finally got it done (this was much trickier than the first)

I enjoyed the room with 4 levers, as it was pretty straight forward and didn't take too long to get this one working with the log across the top of all 4.

Then there were pressure plates. Bravo! That sigh of relief when you make it across the gap with your homemade bridge.

All in all a great introduction to jimmying levers and manipulating the environment to solve puzzles - this is where I felt it should have ended.

Nope - THEN came the long ass corridor with 4 timed levers. Following the previous puzzles, I knew exactly what had to be done. But the act of doing it is a long and arduous task that I feel doesn't add any value to this section of the level. The only rejoicing comes from the fact that once you've beaten this corridor, you're (finally) done with jimmying levers.

I'm not saying remove or nerf it. But maybe break up this area into 3 or 4 smaller sections with zombies and other places to explore in between. For example; Having the first trap door puzzle at the beginning would add a sense of "a cunning escape" to the opening of the game.

There is only one lever across the 8 puzzles that actually needs to be jammed somehow or needs an object interaction. We intentionally tried to give most of the puzzles multiple solutions but sounds like you went out of your way to do a lot of stuff with levers. There are usually simpler approaches...

Also, you do know how to sprint (not run) right?

Yeah, sprint by holding shift.

Yeah, but until I got to the gate maze, I didn't know if I would have to backtrack through it again so was leaving myself a way out - back the way I came. (this was my first time making it this far)

I still stand by what I said though. I think it would be better if the puzzles were mixed in more with the other content.

frankly I'm just stuck with the two levers facing each other and with the handles down.

Solution:
Try leaning a plank on a lever, then raise the lever.

Game relies heavy on physics, need to incorporate that into problem solving the puzzles, and pretty much all the puzzles have more than one way to get past them.

Okay, these buttons have me worried, I tried reading what the parchment says but, I still feel like it's explanation is too vague.

If you can, I haven't been able to hah. But the 'mechanism' is soon after that..

Parchment also mentions about taking precautions against the flames, so there may be a way to screw up once, or twice without taking too much dmg.

I thought the same thing about being vague, but it's supposed to be. We gotta use our brains, after burning myself three times in a row. down to a small sliver of life, I figured it out.

Ferna! Thank you so much for your help with that picture. It worked perfectly. I was stuck in there for like 20 minutes. By the way, ferna's picture is oriented so west is up. Here's a copy of his image but rotated so north is up for those of you orienting using your compass:
