They are quite easy to beat(I don't see what the problem is). If you take games like Dark souls for example then most people, initially will have trouble against just about every enemy unless playing it safe and staying out of range/panic dodging. Exanima in some ways, sometimes, is the same. Don't need to use exploits or glitches. Even take on 2 at once, no problem. What I did the last time I fought against them was to stay out of their range and sidestep/crouch where applicable. I would use a long weapon with crushing damage like the 2-handed mace you can find in Sir's level(4). They occasionally hit each other which helped speed up their demise. Honestly the most important thing is to stay calm and use correct timing, while being aware of the environment(don't get cornered, for example as it's a bit risky). So yeah no one should have trouble clearing the entire level of them, provided they know the basics of the gameplay.

PS I didn't read the guide just thought I'd contribute to the subject. I think their difficulty is highly overrated.

The Golems can be difficult and intimidating to any newer players. Their's is a legitimate strategy, the same as yours. They put together a break down and included a video.

I would be more interested in know what they consider to be exploits that are useful to kill Golems. I let enemies kill each other all the time and don't consider it exploiting as I've done the same against human opponents.

Well against human opponents would be considered a bit of an exploit I think as in real life actual humans would almost never hit each other while trying to hit you. Against Golems or 'undead'? Seems like a fair tactic. They don't seem to think or worry about what they hit. Humans would.

I also think what was shown in the video could be considered an exploit, as it makes them seem 'scared' to enter the doorway. It's an exploit of the AI's behaviour. If it was more realistic they would just keep rushing the player and never let up.

Hi, if the ai would be more competent, fighting against more than 1 opponent, like in real world be almost a suicide. (talking in terms of combatants at the same skill level) It was a common tactic in fencing to occupy your opponent in order to give your partner a chance of flanking him. There is no way to defend against attacks incoming from 2 different directions at the same time. That's why phalanx was so effective. Your sides were secured by your fellow hoplites, and the enemy was forced to attack head on in 1vs1 scenario, where soldier hidden behind a large shield (or long spear sarissa in macedonian case) armed with a spear had a huge advantage. There is nothing wrong in utilizing this strategy in Exanima in my humble oppinion, but in this case, you use other means of forcing your enemy to attack you head on, without a chance of flanking. This strategy is mainly ment for people struggling with game mechanics, who do not have enough time to master the combat system. It's fair, it utilizes the terrain to Your advantage, you do not glitch the AI or exploit it, since it's still capable of dealing with you swiftly if you loose control of the situation. If the AI in the video had split, and flanked me through the paralel archway, i would just turn around and run to the next choke point. Pick your battles wise, and you will rarely fail.
