Isabel & Alexa here from PathOfPixels and we want to welcome you to our first Midnight Souvenirs developer announcement here on Steam!

We're really happy to finally post on here beside our social media channels and share the different updates and development stages with you. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes and development is moving along nicely.

Right now, a big focus is on creating more art content like additional rooms in the mansion and filling the world with lots and lots of items for you to search for and to discover as you play. On top of that, we’re spending extra time updating, improving, and polishing our so-called “Magic Tiles" mini game to make it even more fun and engaging.
The hidden object gameplay is the core element and mechanic of Midnight Souvenirs. The reason for mini games like the “Magic Tiles” is to give you some brief moments in between before the search continues!

Main updates of the Magic tiles game are the shading of the tiles and background, especially in terms of better readability. We also improved the animation and sound feedback you get when rotating the tiles, as well as the timing of the animation when clicked.

Like we teased on our Steam page, you’ll also get to meet more interesting faces along the way!

Today we want to share with you two additional characters who will visit you during the course of the game: Morrigan, the mad musician who will either play tragic songs with his violin or maybe summon an old Eldritch entity with it….

And secondly the strange and very strict Professor Shivers from the Cold-Reach university in town! He is known to not make it easy for his students…

Many more will follow and we will also share some character spotlights in the future! That’s it for now and we’ll make sure to keep you up to date on how things are progressing. This project means a lot to us, thanks for being here and supporting us! 💜
