You are “the” shop all the mages and magical beings visit when in the town of Ursa to get all their magical needs.

⭐ Edit: you can no longer lose Teddy in game! He still might needs some heals but he'll not disappear if you don't heal him in time. So when he's ill (he will be laying down and unresponsive to pets) just spawn a health potion crate and click on him and you'll see him heal with magical effects. Also now he provides a 50% xp boost AND increases shop experience by 50% too!

If you have to start a new game put all your stuff into your storage bag (hit C to box up your furniture) and hit new game +. Note - If you box up your furniture BEFORE storing your items you will lose them. They items such as potions and food do not go into your storage automatically upon re-boxing your furniture). You will keep all your skills, cash, and all your items you put in the bag.⭐


I joined the developers Discord during the review process to talk to them of my experiences. They really put their heart into this game and so much more. This game is called Teddy’s Haven and was created to remember their dog Teddy Bear who passed in 2024. In the game Teddy is re-imagined as a baby bear that everyone gets to have as a pet at a certain point early in the game.

These are the kinds of devs we strive to support and showcase with our reviews. Devs who put heart and soul into their games and try to make them the best they can be.


In this sim you manage a magic shop where you meet all kinds of magical beings that come in to browse your wares, and I do mean all kinds (some are animals…literally). You hire employees and can customize the look of your shop. You also stock your goods, harvest ingredients, tend animals and can participate in the town's events.

You increase your skill level by doing the skill so no need to put points into anything. Some of the skills you can level up include restocking, harvesting, mining and tending to animals. Anything you collect in the world you can sell or craft to make items such as jams.

There is a bit of a grind to level up your shop and skills but that is expected. In the beginning harvest any plants and fruits daily, tend to animals to get eggs, milk and other resources you can sell without having to buy them. Invest when you can in a couple of jam makers to make and sell your own jam from the plants you harvest. The items that always seem popular with customers are health potions and jams.

🔹 When you can buy a cashier, they make a world of difference so you can go out and explore and focus on restocking. I enjoy restocking personally but if you do not there is a stocker for hire too.

For upgrades you need to buy licenses to carry better goods as you progress and they are not cheap so saving some money early is the key. You can also expand the size of your store and rename it eventually too for a price.


Settings & features include; sensitivity adjustments, a lot of video options for tweaking your graphics, audio controls and the ability to rebind your keys. You can have up to 3 game profiles (they look like three different locations but they are all the same, just three game profiles).


Visually the game looks great. The npcs all wear cool fantasy garb and some are even animals like ducks and sheep! The seasons do change complete with seasonal effects like storms, rain and snow.

The soundtrack is very relaxing and fits the fantasy theme with some tavern-sounding tunes.


🔹 The day does not official start until you start the candle in the shop. Take the time to harvest materials before opening the store. Once open they day goes by too fast to get a good run in.
🔹 Visit the large magical creatures you find to give you bonuses like a daily boost in profits for the day
🔹 Items you purchase arrive automatically in the shop on the back window platform
🔹 If you have left over product just drag it onto the “Bag of Endless Storage” and it will be saved
🔹 Anything you collect in the open world automatically goes into your “Bag of Endless Storage”
🔹 Go exploring, you can find many teleport stones to whisk you back home so no need to walk all the way back.
🔹 When you get the pet bear keep his bed beside the cash register so you can pet him in between transactions. The more you pet him the more your bond with him will increase.
🔹 When you hire a cashier they appear as a box (as if you ordered them), you have to “unpack them”.
🔹 Once you place your cashier, close your own cash register
🔹 You cannot die so no fall damage.
🔹 You can cross the water by just walking across it to reach the distant island.
🔹 How to make jam - fill the jam maker, it takes till the next day to finish and you’ll find the jars in your storage bag. Try to have two jam makers at a minimum on the go as it is a popular item.
🔹 Honey pots will automatically make honey (no ingredients needed). Mount the honey pots on the wall and click them daily to harvest your honey. Take a full day for the next batch. It will automatically go into your storage bag.
🔹 How to remove items from a shelf. You need an empty crate. Then just right click the items to fill the empty crate and either store them or move them to a new shelf.
🔹 To feed the big green turtle Ghostberries you have to carry a "crate" of them to him. Don't put it down or it can de-spawn outside of the shop.
🔹 6 fairies to collect in the world! When you see them click on them to follow you!


❗ Important - Before quitting go to bed as the game saves when you end the day and sleep. I do not believe you can manually save and the game only saves upon sleeping. You will lose progress if you start your day and quit part way through.


The game is in early access but there is plenty of gameplay to be had already and lots to do in game. Looking ahead to future plans in the upgrade menu some ambitious stuff is planned like musicians, beasts for sale, gardening and even a kitchen where you bake goods.

Exploring the world and meeting the strange creatures that inhabit the land as well as some unexpected finds were a true highlight (you can also meet a dragon…ok two of them so how great is that)?!

I love having my own magic shop, harvesting ingredients, stocking my shelves and seeing that sweet coin roll in while my skills roll up. My shop is slowly expanding but I am enjoying my time (ok I may be a bit addicted). If you are looking for a fantasy world filled with mythical and magical creatures while running an expandable, upgradable magical shop or gathering to your heart's content with unlimited Bag of Holding then "Teddy's Haven" is it!

The graphics are beautiful and the world is calming. You will see this beautiful crafted world is unlike other shop sims. Not the copy of alchemy shop asset or repeated market clone. Such a magical world that is already a good size filled with random events that give different resources to magical creatures appearing. You will notice many blocked paths all of which will be more areas with new resources. There is talk of other magical abilities to help aid our character in doing many tasks within the game.

The game is early access which I know scares many. We have all been done wrong with at least one. "Teddy's Haven" has an active developer who is listening and responding. A lot of responding on the discord. You can help shape the game with feedback. Already there is a lot to do for fans of this style of cozy, for those of us who love to collect/gather. Not to mention the small dab of automation with hiring assistants so you can enjoy exploring, gathering, stocking or just expanding and decorating.

There is so much planned to add to the world I am really excited to see it. And if it interests you at all then you can help mold the future with your own experience and suggestions.

I wanted to mention behind the inspiration for "Teddy's Haven" is a touching tribute for the developer to memorialize their doggo Teddy. It makes the meaning to see your own little Teddy fluff show up on your porch one morning all the more sweet.


This feature is brilliant! You can store everything into your Bag of Holding Bag of Endless Storage and if you New Game + keep all skills, level, and items in the bag but start at Day 1 with a fresh new store.

• Stocked items can go back on an empty pallet with Right Click.
  
• Furniture is re-boxed with C.
  Items on shelves will be lost. So sell all first if you don't have empty palettes to storage them.

Helpful if you maybe didn't understand how to heal Teddy at the start like me and lost him, or if you want to take the knowledge into a fresh new store.


Only 2 cons (𝗍𝗈 𝗆𝖾) :

• No manual save at time of review. You sleep to save progress.
  
  
• Not being able to keep some empty palettes in storage.

What makes this game so addicting (𝗍𝗈 𝗆𝖾) :

• Storage is unlimited!
  
  
• Everything but the cashier will go into Bag of Holding.
  
  
• All items you gather can be sold! Just look in that fantastical bag to pull them out by clicking +. They will show up on your window sill just like purchased goods.
  
  
• No fear of losing daylight or force shop open before you are ready.
  Don't touch the candle in your shop and technically the time won't progress. I think it's a good time to do a lap for items that are fewer in spawn, such as animal scales, and magic crystals.
  
  
• Items left on the floor automatically go into storage overnight.
  
  
• Remove stock easily.
  Pickup an empty palette and just hold Right Click to remove the shelved item.
  
  
• Cashier assistant!
  In your Book of Almost Everything you can hire Cashiers and Stockers, up to 4 w/ progression.
  Be sure to have your register (scroll) closed so he can do all the work while you do other things.
  
  
• NO fall damage!
  You can also walk on water *wink*.
  
  
• Teleport.
  Explore freely with Teleport home anytime from the Pause menu.
  
  Teleport stones are scattered through the world, currently they return home but developer has said in the future, they will also include specific locations. Also mentioned, possibly an item that will let you teleport from anywhere anytime.
  
  
• Helpful price tag colors.
  If you price an item too high, text will turn light red, suggesting too expensive. From my experience the patrons do not buy.
  
  
• Mythical creatures giving profit bonuses (which stack!).
  ●⠀You will encounter mythical creatures while exploring granting a daily shop bonus.
  ●⠀Randomly magical counsel gives you a 25% boost.
  ●⠀A large turtle on the far side of the valley that you can bring a Ghost Berry to also grants a daily profit. Do note, in your Bag of Unlimited Storage click the + to drop them on your window sill and carry that over.

I absolutely adore what Teddy's Haven is bringing to the shop management genre! The magical fantasy setting adds such a wonderful twist to the formula, and you can really feel the love and care that went into creating this charming little gem.

The game puts you in charge of your own magical shop, where you can stock potions and enchanted items while meeting all sorts of delightful fantasy creatures. Even in Early Access, the core gameplay loop is super satisfying, and I find myself saying "just one more day" way too often!

What really makes this game special is knowing it was created as a tribute to the developer's friend - that heart and soul shines through in every detail.

Yes, it's still a bit rough around the edges and will benefit from polishing (it is Early Access after all!), but the foundations are rock solid and I'm having an absolute blast playing it as is. I can't wait to see how the developer builds on this wonderful start!
