hosting a server despite having xbox game pass version?

hello all, I have the game on the Xbox Game Pass, and wish to host a dedicated server for a few friends and I to play on.

however, I cannot seem to find the tool that allows this, and have come to the conclusion it is due to me not owning the game on steam.

is someone able to direct me to another way to host the server without renting one?

So there are three ways to host a game.
1. Host a local game, Only others with the same platform will be able to play. Xbox to Xbox.

2. Setup a personal Astroneer server, not sure if that one is cross platform compatible as it uses the Steam Astroneer dedicated server feature.

3. Nitrado dedicated server with the Astroneer game, this is the rent option but allows cross platform play.
