In my opinion the soil centrifuge is one of those items that should not be in the game. Even if it was, the resource yield from dirt should be heavily reduced to next to nothing. It was generous but not excessive in early access, and then moving into release, instead of dialling the centrifuge resource yield down, they doubled it.

The centrifuge cant make any high tier resources, it only makes basic ones. When you are trying to make a massive base the centrifuge is a godsend because you don't need to go running around the planet looking for resin and compound.

don't worry about Bomoo... the guy is a hardcore ironman who wants the game to be the way they want and wish it would be. if you give them long enough to think on every aspect of the game they would no doubt eventually find something wrong with all aspects of the game. Soil Centrifuge is a good thing. It's useful and not broken like so many other things in other games.

RTG's are useful as well expensive as all hell to make and ultimately pointless to make due to only making 4 units of power a second compared to other methods. Granted RTGs give power for nothing but still 4 units free? that, imo, is not broken... being able to generate 200 units of power for nothing WOULD be broken.

the mini RTG's are quite good as well and more for personal use but both the RTG and mini RTG both get shot to piece by the snail from Novus that generate 6 units of power for 30 minutes for feeding it it's favorite seed item.

you want over powered... look at the snail Princess no damage EVER combine that with the one from Calidor and Novus and you don't need a freakin' base at all. you just go wherever you want fall however far you want... and so on...


however these just scratch the surface of the overpowered catalyst core.... there are things in other games that are blatantly overpowered for no other reason than to be overpowered... so it's a matter of look at all those other games that have blatant OP ♥♥♥♥ everywhere (especially when you are new to the game) and THEN complain about the ♥♥♥♥ in this one. |
-_- seriously nothing more annoying than seeing someone complain about something thinking that everyone should play the game their way when everyone is bloody frakin' different and plays games however the heck they want.

the way I play Terraria and minecraft... I go about setting up efficient farms that I don't have to really do much of anything to keep running. just stand there and let the mobs die or the resources be gathered. I got told that I play those games in a very mechanical way... yeah I do because that is how i enjoy those games. I like to build farms, grinders, and the like for the purpose of getting a bunch of resources and materials for other stuff instead of run around hoping to run into that one particular 1/1000 thing and pray that it drops that 1/2000 item that it has.
