Large Platform C (currently useless)

1) you can put a medium storage on the side slots of Large Platform B to quickly transport 8 resources with a single click (example: take medium storage filled with raw mats from your rover and put it on a side of Large Platform B that has smelter in middle).

2) Large Platform C costs 3 Iron, Large Platform B costs 3 resin (+ 4 resin for two medium storages).

The only benefit C has over B is 4 extra storage slots, but they are meaningless as B has the utility to slap a medium storage (with 8 resources on it with single click) on it but C does not have that.


Suggestion is to redesign Large Platform C, give it 3 two-linked slots on each side and it may actually be useful as resource storage.

If it didn't cost 3 iron it wouldn't be so bad... but that's a hefty price for something that you can just about replicate (large B + 2 medium storage) for 7 resin (less than two soil canisters).

At the time it was first introduced I speculated it was a modeling exercise for a new hire to the team, and one who hadn't actually played the game before.

I use it time to time for tier-1 items that not in use but may be needed in the future. Items like mods, extenders, beacons, small batteries or oxygen tanks etc... But 3 irons is too much compared to Large Platform B; only because of that, I prefer Large Platform B.

Large Platform B is just the best storage option before Extra Large Platform B, and that is debatable. i wish more mount points shared the unfolding property Medium Storage has on the sides of Large Platform B. Its kind of a shame because the unfolded Medium Storage looks so much better, and is far more functional.
