Backpack and Gun Modification?

Wouldn't it be cool to be able to add to your backpack? or to change your gun a bit? Perhaps being able to make a more precise pointer or broader? Also going off of previous suggestions, you could be able to mod your backpack to have aditional storage, or add a jetpack module to it, slide some Hydrazine in the top and start jetting around. It would open up more build options, and customization to ones playstyle. Also in a previous suggestion of mine, adding water into the game, having your backpack being able to be modded for extreme oxygen capacities, deep sea exploration! It could add hours of gameplay just being able to change your backpack and gun. and not just changing the colour of it, changing the function of it. If you get into "monsters" or hostile npc's too, you could mod your gun for offensive capabilities.
