Can't Exit Pause Menu

When I open up the pause menu, I can't hit ESC to close it, and I can't scroll down any of the menus. I have to quit to the main menu or close the game to force-close the pause menu.

I'm having this issue as well. any time I open the main menu while in game I can't close it again.

Unfortunately, I think we are the only 2 people on the planet having this problem so please let me know if you figure it out.

I started to play this game on steam deck and I have the same issue

Im having this issue still and its game breaking if you dont constantly remember to save, if I hit ESC, the menu comes up, but nothing happens if I press ESC again, stuck in the menu and have to exit or reload a save to play again.
