game crashes immediately after loading logo
I have an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / NVIDIA GeForce 1080 8gb, 16gb ram, Win10
My son has an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, 16gb ram, Win10 his runs fine with no problems, hasn't had a crash yet.
I had to same issue. I found a solution that worked for me on the Astro Discord. It had me delete the actual folder in steam and then open steam and do the unistall of the game as well. Go to users, name, appdata, local, and delete the Astro folder. Reinstall the game and it should load. I originally started by deleting mods for the game pak files but that did not help. I noticed the appdata file the mods still existed. Even if you don't have mods, the discord post said to do this anyway. It worked for me.
Go to This PC go underneath View at the very top and make sure that the following boxes are checked hidden items and file name extension before locating the file.
C:\AppData\Local Delete any Mods or delete the whole file of Astro.
