Gravity Globe Suddenly Flying Into Space

While on Desolo, I entered a gravity globe I had found near a broken landing pad and was able to drive around in it successfully several times. However, during one instance I entered the vehicle and instantly got sent into the depths of space, losing both the globe and all items I had on hand since there was no way to get down and I was forced to eject without oxygen. My surroundings and actions when entering the vehicle did not appear to be different from any other time I tried and I would like to note I was sent flying into space rather than teleporter because I completed the mission of reaching maximum speed in a globe when the incident occured.

The globe likely clipped a little into the ground as you got in, sending you into space at extreme velocity.
